Makes me laugh this forum. Everyone is an interior design specialist and a heating engineer

It's a boiler. It replaced a 35 year old one that was broken. It means I get to do away with a hot water tank, immersion, leaking pipes in the airing cupboard and a huge water tank in the loft.

It isn't finished yet, so if you could please read before commenting, that would be great

I can't live with the pipework, hence why I will be boxing it in. I simply don't have the time to do it at the moment as I'm putting in loads of overtime at work.

he made the best choice by going combi. it might not add value but it adds appeal

if I went to view 2 identical houses 1 had a brand new standard boiler setup up and the other had a 2 year old combi i'd choose the combi every time

Exactly that. It's instant hot water.

I've lived for almost 7 years with 10 minutes hot water at a time. After those 10 minutes, the water went cold and had to be reheated in the cylinder.

Also, I work 3 shift, so every week I was having to reprogramme the water schedule. I don't need to worry about that anymore.

You're the most over-opinionated cunt still left on this forum. Any wonder why other people like to criticise you or something about you when they get the chance

It's a lovely feeling honestly wish I'd have had it done sooner.

We might still be here in 6 months, so it's not a waste of money at all. Nothing has come on the market that we like the look of and in budget, so it could be a long wait.

Added frames and clock after painting walls, new carpet and bed has now been delivered.

Last owner mounted tv off centre annoyingly as wires don't reach socket otherwise, so going to extend power cable, and put tv central.

Happy otherwise, even if flash has made light purple wall look pink

Why did you not put the wires in the wall before you painted it? Its always going to look gammy with them going to those sockets!

Got some thick cardboard from work and made a temporary cover for the pipework, then gave it a coat of paint.Does the job for now. Will make up a proper melamine replacement when I have time.

Still need to fill in the old vent hole, replace the missing tile and move the hive receiver to hide it behind the cover, but slowly getting there.

Yes you can get grommets that size. Looks weird, but it's an improvement on the previous configuration

I moved the hive receiver at the weekend. Looks much better now as the wire is hidden behind the cover.

Need to find a matching tile as they threw that one away either that or I could just fill and paint over that area.

I guess something like this would suit your needs? Maybe not so wide though.

Had look at fused spur on google, assuming easy to wire in?

Would ideally have two plugs running off it, fire stick and TV, one switch turns both on.

That possible? Terrible with electrics
