It's crazy how slow the SC looks but I bet it was crazy being in that car even at those speeds. I saw a few shots of it getting squirmy on entry, so I imagine he was a bit tentative on the gas too 
Proper thankless job though!
My suggestions to Fix F1 after the weekend:
1) Get rid of the 10mins minimum warning for returning to track. Have the drivers sat in their cars and ready to go during a weather related red-flag. (it's different if there are lengthy barrier repairs needed for example).
A few times they missed out on 20mins of good running because of the inflexibility built into the red flag rules.
2) After a sighting lap behind the SC, have the SC peel in and control the pace of the pack using VSC technology/deltas to allow the lead car to slowly build up to ~ 75% pace, that'll both clear the water quicker, allow the drivers a better hope of maintaining temperatures and will help building up to the grip leve. Going from SC pace to race pace in one lap is insane, a slow ramp-up over 3-5 laps would work so much better.
3) Dump Parc Ferme, allow them to stick a wet weather setup on. Less-so with aero nowadays as a wet and dry setup are so similar, but more ride-height and damping.

The track was largely fine for racing bar the hill and the start/finish straight. The irony in the safety car was it caused everyone to bunch up as you would expect... Then when they went from SC speeds to full speed the track hadn't had enough water cleared because they were all going too slow and then too many cars and too much spray = 45 crashes all pretty much in the same area of the track.
If they had left them out, it would have been less dangerous, even at racing speed IMO.
Plus it would appear that Interlagos need to look at the drainage/surface of said corner and straight

Yeah they struggle with drainage because of the landscape it's in - maybe some grooves in the tarmac like what they did at Spa might help.
The rain never really let up yet their constant running (eventually) soon created a reasonably dry line. A mechanism that allows a "SC scenario" at higher speeds seems to be required.

Brundle commented on that as somebody tweeted in a similar suggestion. Made the point that a road car can just be fired up and launched at a seconds notice, and the procedures that lead up to getting wheels to turn on an F1 car is just too much. Also the SC needs to go out in all weathers (lol) and stuff like that.
It's also the best sounding car at a circuit if you go watch a GP 
VSC deltas for the first car on track, then regular SC rules for the following back would be perfect. That would group up the cars to give marshalls space for repairs or recoveries - and the VSC delta can be gradually ramped up over a few laps with appropriate feedback from the drivers.

The Renault engine actually sounds quite loud now. I noticed it during practice and one of the commentators picked up on it also. It's much louder than the others, except the weird Honda misfiring sound.

Yeah they are, just because that's where the drainage issues were.
No idea how effective they actually are, but there must be an engineering solution to track drainage for Brazil.
