Rosberg beat Hamilton in quali. There must be a reason that Rosberg had an advantage, right?

So much hate. I bet your one goal in life is to stab Lewis if you ever had the chance.

He had a shit start, much like most drivers on the grid at some point this season. Oh well.

Max was a bit naughty again. He's the new golden child though so it's OK.

Don't get the Lewis hate tbh. If you want to support another team fine but Lewis is representing you're own country ffs he should at least earn your runner up support

People think they're cool and hip if they join a group, be it a supporter or a hater.

If you go on Nico's Facebook page, all there is are replies from people moaning about Lewis, rather than congratulating Nico.

It's proper weird behaviour.

I personally don't find Kimi interesting in the slightest. He pretty must has one word answers when questioned and everyone wanks him off, again because they think they're being cool by being in one of these fanboy groups.

You don't see me constantly moaning about him though. Why bother? It won't achieve anything.

Good racing up and down the grid, blue flags though

That start from Lewis was shocking, think the damp patch got into his head?

Loved seeing his hammertime stints though after the stops - 3rd isn't too bad I guess but the WDC is now out of his hands if Rosberg can just follow with four 1-2s in second place...

No hate just don't like the guy at all

If you read throughout this thread I never once doubt his ability and recognise when he was the better driver

Just think he acted like a cock in driver conference. Alonso has been driving longer and gets the same questions but didn't react like that - although in his in race radio can be like that

Just accept Ben I don't like him not hate him

As Kyle says 3rd was not a bad result but he had the car to win it and didn't from basically a bad start

Agree on Max as well. Seems to get away with it but I think that's down the the implications of rules - the fia is so inconsistent

Mercedes have lodged a complaint against Max anyway. Probably get a reprimand.

The Move he done on Kimi at Spa? On the straight was the worst by far and he didn't get any penalty whatsoever, so I can't see this one being an issue.

Lewis was very fortunate there was decent run off.

I personally don't see the problem with him using his phone in the press conference. It's called interacting with his fans.

Maybe the F1 bigwigs should take a leaf out of his book. It clearly works wonders and is proven by every F1 team employing a dedicated social media team to post things and answer questions.

I'd be pretty bored if I was asked the same question every week/2 weeks aswell.

He also didn't storm out of the press conference as some have said. He politely declined to answer any more questions, wished everyone a good weekend and left.

He doesn't have to answer anything if he didn't want to.

I feel about as much affinity to him as I do any other millionaire tax exile tbh.

If anything the patriotic thing would be to support Williams.

A team with 2 foreign drivers?

Are you not aware the Mercedes F1 team is based in England?

The majority of them are based in England, what's your point?

Williams are British in origin, British based and British owned and have been from the start (unless I'm mistaken)

Why is it patriotic to support Hamilton? Doesn't live in England, doesn't drive for a British team, doesn't even sound English these days.

I support English teams in the champions league, despite my shitarse of a club sitting in 18th in the Premier League.

It's just patriotic to support your own.

MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS F1 TEAM are a British Team. Unsure why you can't figure that out.

The name may not be, the payroll may not be, but the guys working for it are British.

But it's a German team - they play the German national anthem at the race

Agree it's British talent and employees but it's a German backed, owned financed team

Hence why they went with an all German line up in 2010 after the brawn buy out

Most the teams in the premier league are owned by foreigners would you say none of them are British clubs?

Not the same thing tbh. Being bought out by foreign owners doesn't change a club's heritage or origins.
