Take wheel off, 2 bolts at the bottom, 3 under the bonnet, slacken middle nut, lift springs off and rebuild with just the main spring, job jobbed.

it seems simple enough so i dunno, i got some time off work around christmas so maybe do it then so im in no rush to get car back together.

took picture of archgap outside work , car looks a bit of a state from the flash on phone as it was dark out going to paint the drums and clear some of the shit out the arches what kind of paint do i need to use on drums?

decided im going to spray the door arms on the inside after all - will be going arden blue, not to everyones taste but i think its going to come out well

properly rubbed down and clean, ready for primer but started raining today

also going the spray this little handle - its in primer at the moment, i did paint it yesterday but messed it up so im re-doing it

its on the list mate

lots of things to paint and keep me busy

gloss black bumpetops, arches or colour code.. Still not decided
cc door handles like you said
cc roof rails
paint drums black
and the interior bits above


only thing im not sure on is when i remove the driver side door handle to colour code how am i going to lock the car? i wont be able to get it done in one day so maybe wait till around christmas when i got some time off work

Buy a drivers door handle from a scrappy mate .... will only be a couple of quid and then you can just swap them over when its done

for some reason i thought it would be issue with the locks, but i had a look just after i posted that and its just like the bootlock so ill just nick the handle of my old B then swap them over once done

When you say they look shit are you all talking about the paint or just not liking them? because the paints fine it's just the first coat, looks much better now after the second coat.

I already knew everyone on here wouldn't like them though, but each to there own. I do like them myself.
