Having thought about this, I think they should give Giggs the manager job but bring in a really strong DOF to support him and help with player recruitment.

Hate the DOF bullshit, manager should be in control of everything a DOF would do.

It's not my favourite either but Giggs would struggle on his own currently I reckon. But I think he deserves a chance. His presser yesterday was more impressive than anything Moyes did!

Dutch press reporting that a deal was agreed last night with Van Gaal. Woodward, one of the Glazer brothers and United's lawyer were at Van Gaal's home last night in the in the Algarve to thrash out the deal:

It's also said that Giggs, Scholes, PNev and Butt will be on Van Gaal's back-room staff, Giggs most likely to be assistant manager with an eye on following Van Gaal up in a couple of seasons.

I'd love it if that's true and Giggs can be an assistant. Shows that they really do want him long term which I think with a few years guidance he can do it.

Wonder how long it will be until the likes of RVP and Rooney are kicking off if its true. Van Gaal is known to be very strict with training etc.

RVP loves Van Gaal. Strange how he's back training again now Moyes has gone!

Rooney won't last with a Van Gaal. Hell have a strop and VG will boot him out.

United deserve to appoint Giggs after their recent behaviour as he will fail spectacularly. Imagine United v Chelsea next season? Mourinho would chew him up and spit him out.

United "are back" supposedly, after beating Norwich at home.

Pity the same players couldn't turn up under Moyes!

That gif is showing what I want to be our management team for the next 30 years!

I was there yesterday and even though it was only Norwich it was the first time this season we played attacking football and how we're used to playing. Everybody looked sharper and quicker and had confidence. The whole place was buzzing and if the final games of the season show the same fight as that then I would love Giggs to be in charge!

An absolute legend who knows the club more than anybody and there's no reason why Fergie and the guys can't teach him the backroom stuff and he can do the coaching.

Males a difference getting those little bits of.luck too, which Moyes didn't seem to get at all. If you'd gone in 0-0 at half time it would of been a lot different. But a spawny ball through 3 players, then a "clumsy" challenge where there appears to be no contact (always a penalty though) and it gave your lot the confidence and killed Norwich. Even the second goal, Norwich not bothering to defend, Rooney slipping and it going in off the post. Those types of things weren'thhappening under Moyes.

I know you'll say it was earned by the attacking football. But united were shit in the first 40 mins

It was a pen, he pulled him down with his arm, however you can only see it from a couple of angles. From the normal camera angle you cant see it.

No appeal from the defender either
