have people just done tigerseal, bish, bash, bosh job done...

my last one was a bit rough (didnt really care at the time)
was tigerseal and pot rivets, jagged edge and no rubber seal...



but im wanting a bit of a tidier job this time...

idea's/techniques?
easy enough to re-fit the rubber seal?

using 2mm thick this time

Mine were fitted with windscreen glue(prob same as stickerflex) with the rubbers around them but there formed so there bent to the shape of the window so they fit great

I've heard of people painting a border around the edge to cover the adhesive and give a bit more of a factory look.

just on the off chance, when i was on fitting my rear one to the fg tailgate a mobile windscreen van pulled up... he fitted the tailgate one for me with all the proper gear and it ended up coming off...
i dunno if its just cos it was bonded to fiberglass or not though
that why i have those butt ugly bolts with big washers in each corner on the above pic

used 2mm perspex from b&q
cut to shape
lay them on top of the glass with something heavy at the top and bottom while i briefly went over with the heat gun to give it the convex shape...
p1000'd around the inner edge
them stuck them on, spent about an hour holding them in place, once dried enough i went around the outside with some more tiger seal...

pics are terrible but its seems a good job




ignore the peel off sheet, keeping that on for now for protection
