broster has decided to make my car lighter again, so theres a few bits coming off tomorrow

also, the seat mounts will be adjusted so the seats lean back a tad, not bolt upright

and my slight starting problem will also be rectified, hopefully

no, bonnet

and doors

removing the engine would save a bit of weight, and then i'd just push it down hills and hope i get up the other side

my target weight is 850kg with a full tank

which means somewhere i've gotta lose 47kg, i reckon i can do it with the things i have planned in the near future

then i will tie it down if i park in a windy place

aircon is coming out, heater will be out next year, perspex windows on order, need a heated front screen and a perspex rear one

removing the passenger seat upsets the superb balance of the car

front yeh but whats point if u doin that might aswell just strip it completely lol

id remove grills etc in place of mesh if its lighter and get un-painted ones is amazing how much paint weighs u no 1 ltr of paint = 1kg, same goes for primer and lacquer so u looking at 2kg's in paint per bumpa, thats primer/paint/lacquer added together not just basecoat

right....

bumpers will remain for aerodynamic purposes

mesh weighs more than grille

paint is also staying

headlights are a legal requirement actually, if you dont have them, the police can ban you

fiberglass bonnet may be on the cards

and the bootlid can be made as light as a fiberglass one with the help of mr grinder

ummm angle grinder sounds to me like a bodge no offence, but spend the money do it proper, all im saying is things like paint add up to alot, bit like counting the pennies in ur jar looks like there 50p but there 20 quid

what brakes u running rob, v6 weigh ton that wont help, get ate ones or spend 500 quid on hi-spec setup all alloy easy 15kg too, see ive lost u 50-70 in 20 mins ha ha

the brakes are a compromise i'm willing to put up with, the stopping power is so good, the weight is not a problem to me for their effectiveness

angle grinder is a bodge, but its cheaper than a fiberglass boot which will rattle and crack
