Well done Lewis you imbecile. Stop fucking around for once and realise that if you're well up, stop trying to push too hard into the final corners

On the first run? He was up on Rosberg until the last 2 corners.

Just saw the second run comparison. Doesn't matter, he only needs 2nd anyway.

Still annoying.

Something about red bull front wing? Must be shit loads of nerds going on the page. It failed to load properly on my phone.

Edi: it finally loaded. Illegal, that's a surprise (not). They were flexing like crazy on the slow motion replays.

Not massive news tbh. They have nothing to lose, do they?

Yeah, their wing is too flexible, so might give them more downforce at high speeds

"Red Bull face an official investigation after governing body the FIA declared their car illegal at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The FIA said the front wings on the cars of both Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel were too flexible.
Teams can gain an aerodynamic advantage by front wings that flex downwards at speed.
The team will now probably either have to modify the wings and start from the back of the grid or race under appeal."

I don't think Hamilton would have done it. On his first lap when he was doing it so well and screwed I on the 2nd last corner he did not loose .5 of a second which is how much quicker that Rosbergs was
Hamilton just can't get comfortable on the Bremen brakes. Will be interesting to see if he switches back to his preference next year
Williams did well

The first couple laps are key. Can Hamilton hold off thewilliams and get a gap. Will be interesting if he is level with Rosbergs as he can't afford to crash so Hampshire Lyon can position his car accordingly

I want some drama tomorrow. I'd quite like it is Hamilton gets tangled up on the first corner with a Williams, and perhaps get a puncture.

I still want Hamilton to win the WDC over Rosberg, and so, i'd like to see Hamilton storm back through the pack and take at least second (or perhaps even first)

That'd be such a fitting end to this season in my opinion. Seeing Hamilton just follow Rosberg around until the flag would be a bore, so would seeing Hamilton passing Rosberg and just driving for the line.

Hamilton is on carbon industries brakes, is he not?

Iirc it was the Brembo's which failed at Hungary, which are the ones he prefers, weirdly

Interesting rumour going round RE the flexi wings on the RB. Adam Cooper tweeted last night to say that the FIA found a leaf spring hidden in a rubber shroud. Be mental if thats true, wonder how long they've been doing that?

Only a couple of hours to go!

At least Red Bull's gaffe means the Ferraris move two places up. Interesting quote from Pat Fry saying that this weekend they need to focus on speed and drivability of the cars....

Try maybe having thought of this in Feb this year

Car is such a donkey

I was reading this last night, it's a pretty significant rule breach as it's not just a compound that's failed flex tests - it's a conscious effort to cheat the rules. As RBR aren't in contention for anything this year, it'll probably come to nothing.

Its out and out cheating if true. Didnt get to hear what CH said but apparently sounded quite sheepish and instead of trying to defend his team just said that others are exploiting it too.

Its possible they just thought they'd try something as its the last race, but similarly they could've been doing this for years. The rumours have been going about since 2010.

CH has just denied the leaf spring thing.

Not gonna lie, i'm pretty nervous right now

Anthony Davidson showed the lines into T1 on the skypad. Neither looked very good for both cars
