So I was driving my Corsa along, was all running fine, boosting normally etc and then suddenly the engine management light came on and it stopped boosting.

The boost gauge (which reads -10 during idle) will only boost up to zero but not beyond.

If I can't figure it out I'll be taking it to my local garage later in the week but thought I'd just ask on here in case anyone knows what it could be and save me some money!

Further info, the fault codes fro the Ecu were related to: throttle pedal & coolant temp

Any help appreciated!

How exactly do you check the waste gate? We gave it a twist with some pliers to see if it was stuck and it moved, but not sure if that's a good enough test?

The throttle pedal is opening the throttle body fine, does that rule it out as being faulty?

its possibly in limp mode, this maybe why its not boosting the ecu is probly cutting the boost. if your coolant temp sensor is faulty it maybe chucking in too much fuel or the other way around,
Your throttle pedal should be fly by wire so wont be cable operated, there can still be a fault with either the pedaql of the throttle body with it working ok,

Have you checked for boost leaks??

I would n't have thought limp mode would totally cut the boost altogether. Normally it would just make it run crap, but still try and give some boost, just with a shit load more fuel pumping through.
