Well having done it all with Corsa's including a Kitted up Sri, My Subtle Green One, my C20LET Powered sport and my rally slag style Sport and in total having owned 6 Corsa B's I think it was time to move on.

So sold my Green one for £1250 and used my MK4 Van to run around in for abit.

Then went hunting for a Gsi, seen 2 before hand at around £5.5k each and both just where not what I wanted, both where at garages and it was like someone had just not cared much for them and then part-ex'd them in, both where very tatty and engines sounded rough so walked away and decided to go private.

My luck struck when my old man spotted this one around the corner, I was after silver and this one was in arden blue but thought as it was only around the corner so went and had a look and fell in love with it, and its now sat on my drive

Paid £6k for it, mint condition, only 2 small stone chips on the front but hardly noticeable.
MOT and Tax until next year, 67k, FVSH, Cambelt done and New Turbo along with a lots of reicepts

Came with Blue Samco Hoses, Stainless powerpipe, OPC Spark Plug Cover, Eibach -40mm Springs, Stainless Exhaust System, light smoke tinted windows, New Brakes all round and Falken Tyres recently replaced.

Loving it at the minute, just got a few bits to sort out and Im just going to enjoy it for the minute.
But next year Im going to look into some more performance upgrades I would like to get it upto around 280bhp with a torque figure to match.
But at the moment I just want to sort out a decent audio set up, already booked in for a Cat 1 Alarm and Immobiliser to be fitted, replace some of the hoses in the engine bay and just a few more subtle bits here and there

Thanks

Thanks Mate

Forgot to add, I fitted some components yesterday, took a while to do but got it all fitted and well done in the end.
Went for some Vibe Black Air 5's, yes I know there is better out there but for the money these are a really good buy in my book.

Tweeters fitted snug where the standard ones went

Speaker fitted

And crossover box mounted

And then just a few small and boring bits, added a Black Aerial from LMF

And also fitted some Irmscher Mats

Plenty more to come in the next few weeks

Look's like a tidy one you found, lots of hanging one around. I looked at a few before the silver one and some where really bad for 53 plate's. Arden blue is the best colour to have too Any advise im a u2u away

Thanks for the decent replies guys

Warren - Will most likely get it mapped next year, but will be fitting a few bits before I get it mapped so I get a good bhp and torque figure out of it, will keep your offer in mind

Cheers Stavs, yea I was shocked to see the state they where in and being sold from garages too, made me look privately and managed to find a decent one.
Ideal mate, will be sending you a u2u very soon then cheers!

Thanks Ben, feels like a totally different league sitting in this compared to the Corsa's I have had.

Thanks for all the good comments, should hopefully be doing a few more bits next week, just working my ass off so I can chuck some more money into the car, more updates soon

Looks mint. Would have tried to hide the crossover boxes rather than screw them onto the door card

Ryan - I know what you mean but its only a bit of plastic and if i change my mind or sell later on i can just replace it no problem

Thanks mk4_boy

Currently just fitting a Boost Gauge, I bought 3 more gauges but i think the volt was abit pointless to fit, and the oil ones are just going to be a pain in the ass, plus I have no where else to put them as I have pillar airbags and I like the CD holder

Thought fitting the Boost gauge would be alot of hassle but its taken me about 10 minutes! Easy!

Pics to follow

Update 13/09/09 - Fitted Boost Gauge

Was alot easier than I thought it would be, got it all done in half an hour

Also ordered 2 of these to replace the tatty ones on the powerpipe.

And one of these to replace the tatty samco one on there

Ideally also need the Turbo the cross over pipe silicone hose, as that one also looks tatty but can't seem to find anyone who sell them seperatly, will keep looking.

UPDATE 17/09/09

All the new hoses have arrived and have been fitted, no pictures yet as the car is currently having its new alarm fitted, went for a Clifford 650 Concept in the end, seemed to tick all the boxes and mainly that it had dual zone prox. sensors.

Should have the car back after lunch time and then I will be fitting audio, pics to come

UPDATE 19/09/09

Got the alarm fitted, went for the Clifford 650 Concept mk2 due to that fact it had dual zone proximity sensor which works a treat, so happy with that and its also helpful for insurance.

So with the alarm sorted I got myself around to finishing off the audio
Firstly the headunit, the standard one had been put back in sometime in the past and what a pain it was to get it back out, you could tell someone has had this problem before as there is a couple of marks around the headunit.

Always liked my Alpines so went for the CDE-9884r, and purchased all the necassary leads to keep the stalk controls and have an ipod connection, very chuffed with it, so many sound features and has really improved the quality of the sound over the standard HU.

Haven't got any pictures but also spent a day fitting the new sub, went for a Vibe as again Ive always had it and Im really happy with the new one, nothing fancy, just a new CBR12 Active.

Oh and got my new hoses fitted

Very happy with it

Also got insurance sorted out, after being messed around with by Performance direct and premium choice I went with Brentacre, great company, service was brilliant and they have some sort of modified car scheme so modifications seem to have got the qoute down a fair bit so very pleased

Only 10 Days then I get to drive it, really cannot wait
