Has it ever been done?
Also how easy would the said conversion be if the nova already had a X20XEV conversion?

Mounts/Shafts/hubs would be the same wouldn't they? May need a new gearbox one though.

Then you'd just have to get around the management?

Not entirely sure but doesn't the ZLET management run as one with the in-car loom, whereas the X20 is seperate like the classic vaux's?

Z20LET is based on an X20XEV..

The engine management will be the only issue (which isnt really an issue) and you'll need to use the electronic throttle pedal..

I was going to do this conversion myself but went mid engined small block in the end

Z20LET uses Motronic 1.5.5

I put lots of information here:
http://www.dohc.co.uk/z20let/

My omega was X20XEV engined, I made up a conversion (from the white round ECU plug) loom which worked perfectly and had the throttle loom as a seperate part.

No because the throttle actuation, position signal and idle speed control are all part of the same system.

I think it would be good.. would be different..... It would be just as easy to put a ZLET into a nova as it would a CLET. Unless your a corner cutter buy putting an F20 in, you still have to weld the mount in for an F28 and you could put the F28 on to the ZLET. Head ache is not an issue kid.. its the norm just a newer engine.

If i was you i would be fitting a M32 or a F23 gearbox. F28's are as old as C20's now and are far too hard to get parts for these days.

I think throttle pedal could be done easy enough with a little thought.

Its a newer engine, and if the nova already had an X20XEV engine in it, it should "fit straight in" and also as far as im aware it hasnt been done yet. also the F23 Gearbox is quite good imo
