Stop spamming shitarse.

Didn't go Fort William in the end. Weather was awful so we went to Stirling Castle instead. Pretty cool place.

Back from Scotland, done about 1200 miles Love the Fiesta, but the doorcard needs a leather armrest as the cloth stuff rubs against your arm which becomes annoying after a few hours

Didn't actually get any pics in the end, but who cares?

Z4 has gone in for an Inspection 2 this morning, hoping it doesn't come back with a sheet full of faults

Will update in due course.

Just had a call to say both front droplinks are buggered. Only replaced them last year!! Suppose that's what I get for buying cheap shit off eBay

Also brake fluid is due so that's getting done.

Bloody hate paying for car maintenance.

Got the Z4 back. Fortunately only 2 new issue's which are the front droplinks are perished and a tiny oil leak near the filter housing.

Expensive service, but at least it's done now for another 15k miles.

Emailed Monsoon to confirm my roofs been ordered, which it has, so that'll be the next big purchase. I'm thinking about selling the 19'' tyres on as the ride comfort is a lot better on the 18's (yes Gav, you were right)

Stuff left to do (this bits for me as I keep forgetting):

Either weld exhaust bracket or get a new backbox.
Remove front bumper to replace front indicator bulb.
Fix drivers door lock.
Replace Droplinks.

I snapped a bracket which the metal clip sits in (the bit that holds the back cover on), and it's now not possible to remove in situ, or at the very least it's extremely difficult so much easier to take the whole unit out to replace bulbs.

I don't fancy buying coilovers for the sheer fact they're mentally priced for the Z4! Nothing wrong with my eibachs although I would like to replace the shocks at some point.

Unfortunately with the service, the burgundy roof and a big mortgage payment, i'm low on funds for this month and don't want to be dipping into my emergency funds for car parts

Not bad but too rich for me

Just stuck my 19'' brand new tyres up for sale, seeing as i'm pretty much swayed by the ride quality improvement on the 18's. Gonna take a hit as I paid a lot more for them, but such is life

That's proper cheap! Mine was £270.

Fuck knows why or how, but my car has decided to start squealing on start up.

Didn't notice it driving home from the Garage, which was a good 15 miles, but when I took it out in the evening, it squealed on start up.

It eventually went, but came back on the next start up.

Must be a coincidence, but it just seems odd it's happened after a service.

Guessing it's a tensioner of some sort. Here's a video of it:

I'll get my dad to have a look over the weekend not sure whether they touched the tensioners during the service, but it's just annoying and i'm a bit weird about abnormal noises. It's pretty embarrassing when sitting at the lights with the roof down

Ordered some of these today. The mechanic recommended Lemforder, but the forum tends to favour these, so for the extra tenner I went for Meyle instead.

Can feel the car rolling around a bit, almost boat like in feel so need to fit these asap!

No worries some guy with a Z4 is supposedly coming to pick them up next Friday. Seemed serious as he was going to leave me a deposit.

Making a loss ftw

That squealing noise is getting worse. Think i'll chuck it back in to the garage to get it sorted. Fine on idle after a couple of minutes, but comes back when going up the Rev range. Very odd.

Hit a raised manhole cover one morning last month whilst rushing to work (road was being resurfaced and I was doing about 20mph, it hurt quite a lot) and ever since, one of my headlight indicators hasn't worked.

Finally set about removing it and having a look today.

Firstly, standard lowered Z4 practice of removing bulbs in headlights. Jack the car up to remove the wheel, so I can actually gain access to the headlight cover.

Not much space in here:

Eventually managed to go this little bastard out after copious amounts of head bashing:

The actual bulb is buggered and it's not the standard wedge type fitting, so I need to hunt through my headlight spares box for one, or order one. Not ideal, but for now I've taken the lot out so I can still drive the car.

Whilst I was in there I noticed the ARB bushes look like my nans tits, so i'll be replacing those with poly bushed items when the droplinks turn up.

And lastly, finally managed to remove my battle scarred front bumper plate. As you can see, it had taken a fair few hits

Just ordered these for the front ARB:

Wasn't going to go for polyurethane bushes Originally, but I had trouble finding the sport ones (25mm) from the usual places.

As above, the OEM ones are sagging quite a lot and in high speed turns, there has been quite a large increase in body roll since I first purchased the car.

£43.79. Ridiculous price for 2 small bushes, but as said, i was having trouble finding sport bushes and eurocarparts only lists se ones for some reason.

Hope it's worth it anyway.

I will be buying rear drop links and ARB bushes at some point. Then it'll all be sorted (bar the shocks) and hopefully handle a lot better.
