Do it! As good as your TT looks, a z4 drives sooo much nicer!

Ben get some 15mm spacers on the front, improved the feel of mine

Yeah, both sets I wanted were out of stock with no delivery date

The set i posted on the Z4 Coupe is the set i wanted Originally loves coupe's, such beautiful lines! Keep looking at them myself

Gav, i'm a little worried 15mm is too much. I put 20mm ones on the front before and it rubbed like crazy in that front corner area. Think i'll go with 10/12mm. These 18's will be my winter wheels anyway. The 19's will be sorted when I get back from Scotland in a couple of weeks.

Ahyeah true I have 15mm spacer but I've dropped down to a 215 front tyre. Without spacers I useto catch on standard sized tyres, properly worn away that front part of my car

yeah my passenger front arch liner has a small hole in from the rubbing. Had to replace the drivers side one and it was expensive, so would rather that not happen again

Cleaned both cars today, in preparation for my Scotland trip.

Car rides so much better on the new tyres! Chucked the carbon fibre centre caps away and put some oem style ones on, which look better.

Currently researching the red fabric hood again. Monsoon have an offer on so will be contacting them about it.

Can't do anything until I get back anyway, so for now here's a pic of both cars.

Ben, try giving Jack Smith of Swansea a call for a roof. I know he's a long way from you, but you can make a couple of days of it and enjoy some awesome roads whilst you're in Wales!

Flybikeslee had his done on the S2000 down there - said quality wasn't quite OEM (couple of threads to trim, bits of glue to pick off), but paid £280 fitted, using the original glass rear window. Quality was very much you get what you pay for, but I'd have no problems using him myself if my roof was bad enough.

Cheers Tom. I think I emailed him last year and he said it would be about the same price to do a Z4 roof as what i've been quoted (£950).

Reason is it's multi-layered and the heated glass rear window has to be bonded in. Quite a big job.

Monsoon car hoods aren't very far from me and can do it in a day so that's probably my best bet i've emailed them, just waiting for a reply to hopefully get booked in.

Echo above! Red please. Also, like those wheels but should be lighter in colour IMO.

Currently in Scotland, got the Fiesta alloy refurbished today. No pics yet. The kerb mark has gone, but it appears they've caught the edge of the alloy whilst refitting the tyre and tried to hide it with some grey touch up.

Cunts told the missus but she wasn't interested so fuck it. She can deal with it.

It's a tiny mark but i'm a bit of a perfectionist/ocd with stuff like that, so it'll annoy me.

I thought calling yourself 'the wheel specialist' implied you actually specialised in alloy wheels? Surely tyre fitting is the most basic aspect of refurbishing an alloy?

No scenic fiesta st pics yet as we've been busy doing family reunion rubbish. Will grab a few pics tomorrow, hopefully.

Booked an Inspection 2 for the Z4 for next Thursday. Only 2000 miles overdue

What wheels you ordered for the Z4?

nah, book with my Local bmw specialist who recently began working on Aston's and Lambo's, so it'll be in good company

Going for the same wheels the coupe below has, I think they're sort of csl style but only 7 twin spokes with some concave on the rears.

Was gonna go for some fancy ones with a machined face, but I'm a little worried about upkeep of them.

Went to the missus' parents caravan near Irvine for a night. Weather was shocking and as we were leaving, the sun came out... Typical

Some really nice driving roads heading from Glasgow so was a fun drive, but not as scenic as the previous caravan site in Drimsynie (Lochgoilhead).

Hoping to get out for a drive to Fort William tomorrow. Should be fun.
