Are your's bolt on Mark? I didn't measure these but i'm guessing they're about 3-3.5'' in diameter. Once the insides are all sooted up, you won't see the main exhaust pipe, which is ideal as I think it looks a little odd as it is now.

no. welded on

the original exhaust had horrible tailpipes when i got it fitted i had them changed. wanted a single pipe like your new one either side. they didnt have them so ended up with small ovals which ive never been overly keen on

I've had another set made up, so I've got one set welded onto the standard backbox (original tips cut off) and one set on my debackbox. Missed the noise so I went back to it

You go for the smaller ones?

Ok so i've had the Superpro rear ARB bushes and meyle HD rear 'droplinks' for ages now. Had too much other stuff to do, but today I finally got around to fitting them.

Let me tell you, this is an absolute ballache of a job. One of the bushes is right next to the biggest backbox known to man, so you have about 5mm clearance for a spanner and ratchet you alsp need to drop the strut and remove the springs to access the bolt to the 'droplink' things.

Anyway, got all the stuff off myself, took a break then went back to finish the job. Probably took about 4 hours in total.

Old stuff vs new. I used the original brackets. Should've bought new ones but they're perfrctly serviceable so no big deal.

Centre jacking point came in handy.

New bits on.

And back on the floor. Exhaust pipes look nice here.

Inital impressions on my 10 mile drive home? Feels very stable at the back, whereas before the front felt great and the rear felt a bit wobbly. My drive home includes a few miles of twisty country lanes so the car gets a good test here. Absolutely love it. Well worth doing, but it's not something i'd do again as it was so much hard work

Next up, Red roof and Halo's, but not for a good while yet!

I changed my mind ages ago mate. Sold the 19'' tyres to another bloke and i'm sticking with the 18's. It was just far too harsh a ride on the bigger alloys and I didn't want to compromise.

The standard wheels on this are great but agree they need to be silver

Going to look awesome with the red roof! Have you still got your hard top?

Yeah still got it. It's sitting in the garage. Might try and sell it as winter approaches for a profit. Laat year some were going for over 1k!

I'd keep it, will keep your nice new roof protected over the winter

They do good money though, I sold mine in the middle of summer for around £800

We're getting old

Took the Z4 to get a 4 wheel alignment done today. Had a check done and as suspected, everythings mostly way out. Unfortunately the lad said the track rod and ends were seized up and he didn't want to risk snapping them, so wasn't able to adjust the fronts.

Shame, but he didn't charge me for the work and said to come back when the rods and ends have been replaced.

Ended up having a nice drive with the roof down and some food.

Yeah mine are only slightly out so not a huge problem, but I still want to sort it as i'm a bit fussy with stuff like that

Lemforder stuff is £85 and Meyle is £80. I want Meyle but Lemforder is easier as it's a click and collect order.
