Right thought I would start a Project Thread on here, This is of my long running project. Had this car since 2005 and its going through its second rebuild, or should I say its first propper rebuild, I say that as I kind of rushed the build first time (being younger) and wasn't happy with a lot of aspects of the car the resparay quality, rust spots missing trim etc.., came to a head after fueling/engine problems and in January 2011 decided to rip it apart and start again, as this car holds a special meaning for me and I wanted to build it propperly instead of rushing it like I did the first time.

Mainly this year has been getting together new replacement GM pannels and stripping the car down when I've had the chance between work and life(hence the Long term project), I've also buying new mechanical parts, Like Wilwood Brakes, Coilovers, gearbox etc...

How it looked in November 2010

I'm at the stage now where I'm going to be cutting/drilling out & welding in the new pannels, as the body has been stripped of bumpers, and other trim, the engine bay is stripped and ready for strenghtning then smoothing, the Interiour is minus everything bar the headlining, all underside has had the underseal stripped off so after welding it can be painted up nicely

Few pics of where I'm at at up from January to the month of November 2011 and a few pics of some of the bits I've collected.....only some

Thats only a snapshot of what I've been upto on the car this past year and the item/parts collected are only a few of a pile would of taken too long to post every one up

I'll update in due course, been upto a few things over xmas on the car but that will be in the next update
Cheers Todi

Right thought I would do an update from where I am from the last week or so in November 2011 to now

Well gutted the interiour of the car got everything out and stripped off all the sound deadening

And then gave it a good few liters of rustproofing paint, got it in everywhere every little nook that rust can fester, only bits that need paint will be the areas that are having fresh metal welded in, bit rough how its painted with the ammount I put on, but tbh I'm not fussed aslong as it does the job and its not gonna be seen anyway so doesn't matter how it looks

few bits I got from the TG&CC show in November

And over the last few weeks got a few other bits

Rear discs hubs calipers for rear beam, need a good refurb but for how little they cost I'm happy

Std rear lights

Equal length driveshafts, bought a center shaft off another person then they will be a complete set of shafts

Gonna try and get the rust cut off over the next few weeks...... BUT got quite a few trees to cut up and cut down over the next few weeks due to the severe winds we had near me the other week managed to fell quite a few of mine in the garden, and there huge!! once there done the car will be back in the spotlight

.........and lastly also waiting on an F28 gearbox to arrive in the next few days

Thats it for the mo cheers
