Hey guys, I have a "97 corsa b

Need some serious help!

I noticed my engine was making a little noise so when I looked cam 1 of the cam lobe had worn down so it's just a circle so the valve wasn't closing!

Then few weeks later started using ALOT of petrol!

Noticed it was spraying out the exhaust

Had another look and a second lobe has worn !

What is making the cam worn so quickly??

PLEASE HELP!!

Is this common?

I'll have to do this at weekend because I work nights!

Take the cam out and just make sure everything is free and not stuck?

I got a cam, the housing and lifters from the scrap yard today for £15 all in.

Took about 30 mins to remove the whole lot.
