If I'm looking at them not through the camera, they do pass the blue tinge test This is why I was wondering how I could tell properly rather than guessing.

Infact they arent Xenon headlamps they are basic spec.

SRi with Xenons should have the tinted headlamps.Yours are just the silver 1s.

And while i mind, the pics you posted the other day also showed that it had the wrong rear lights also.

Wrong rear lights for what? It's since been established that it's a V6 SRI not an Elite, if that makes a difference?

OK, so it doesn't have xenons. Can I turn the light off, like plug in a turn off the xenon feature on the ECU?

The SRi's had tinted rear lights and tinted headlights.Yours has the orange indicator on top (rear lights) which should be tinted.

The police basically took SRi's and had them fitted with GSi running gear.

Not sure about getting the light turned off.

How are you liking the car anyway??

Yeah, I'm really happy with it, apart from the little bits mentioned, which aren't a big deal. Nice comfy ride, lots of space and the power is nice enough for getting about. Sounds well, can tell it'd sound awesome if I drilled the airbox, but I think I like the stealthness rather than people knowing when I've got my foot down, if you know what I mean? It actually seems a lot better than my Audi on fuel so far too, although I've been driving it nice mostly.

Fair enough, s'pose that's explained by the Police like you say, although the xenons thing isn't.

Is that Op-Com for vauxhall stuff? Is it as powerful as Vag-com do you know? Like could I adjust settings?

Opcom is a good bit of kit, you could turn the light off but im not sure if it would just come back on.

You may be able to just tell it doesn't have xenons any more, not sure. Don't know if the loom is different and what affect that might have.

Rear lights are lower spec but that is just cosmetic.

Done a bit of digging and it appears that dash light is indicating a fault with a self levelling headlight sensor.

There is 1 at the front of the car and 1 at the rear.Probably mounted on the suspension somewhere.

But they are only for cars with Xenons.

Not sure how it would affect it if the Xenons have been removed though.

Ok cheers for that. I'm gonna invest in an Opcom this week anyway. I've read up and apparently I should be able to turn the xenons off no problem. Will come in handy for future anyway.

You got a link at all to the place you've read about that dash light?

Cheers

Surely you need to sort out the manual adjusters?
