Update:

I'm going to dick around more with this chrome stuff, missed painting so decided to get myself a cheap airbrush to have fun incidentally you can apply leather dye with one so this will have a few purposes:

Then I decided to rub down and smooth my other transmission cover:

Probably gunna do chrome or white.

Then in the quest to improve the chassis flex I was recommended to get a strut brace. There was an OEM one on the GTII coupe but they where about a grand and long since discontinued. Company in US make replicas for £300 but that's nearly the same money as a Schnitzer one and you wouldnt have to arse about importing it:

Here is the GTII one:

It is apparently made by OMP although branded as a BMW part.

So after deciding I didn't like the look of an of the strut races around I ordered blind and went with OMP as this was close to oem without the price tag.

Picture on Tweeks says red, I planned to paint it.

Arrived today: And it's not red

Didn't have time to fit it, so just wanted to see what it would look like:

Really it's fucking rank

I tried and failed with autoglym machine cleaner, beleuve engine & atmosphere where too warm to use it though as I have had good results before. My advice would be steam cleaner to get in the hard to reach covers covering electrics with cling film etc. then Autoglym or similar degreaser and a brush and a lot of time lol

Got new lower arms (lemforder)

with new droplinks:

Then the mad scientist (aka Shrek) fitted these on Friday, we where too angry and dirty to take more photos!

ABsoloute pig on the drivers side to do. Will be getting lollipop bushes done next asap as tracking is miles out and i didnt realise they where seperate. Probably polybush or some Meyle goodness.

Also had a diffle with my xenons and trial fitted it to the casing:

In she goes:

Perfect line up at the front due to original mount being used.

I managed to bend the shroud when removing in anger though so may have to fork out for another one

Not convinced it will line up right at the rear, due to how the bulb may go in at an angle. So not sure on what to do. May restart the projest with Bosch headlights

I did mine black and painted the inside of the rotors (non contact part) black as well.

Much better then rusty brown and does not highlight how shit your pansy OEM non brembo, AP, Willwood calipers are when you go red*

* out of all the comments this one will get targeted.

They will be painted silver, which is the colour they where from factory (Or closest too anyway) You see them anyway as the wheels cover them.

To do list:

Lollipop bushes
Tracking
Install front speakers (Tweeter blew up on wednesday)
Re seal foglight
Wire up headlight and test for beam alignment
Purchase brake duct and indicator
