BMW
E36
///M3 Evo SMG Convertible.

Thought I would make a project thread to follow the progress of my car. Im not going to modify it really just restore/replace old tired bits and make it a bit less tatty.

Here it is upon collection:

When i got home with the hood down:

Next day i popped over to see Tomnova16 @ Lemass. He sorted me out some new grilles and a new indicator as old one was busted.

Here we go:

Gen facelift grilles from BM- replacing plasticky crappy naffness

Rich did a bit of replacement cleaning:

All done and MUCH better:

Paintwork isnt the best, but its straight and undented so heres a cheeky shot of the side and someones car in the background

Something to do with the gears guess the "S" is for sequntial, "R" reverse guess the other are something for drive and neutral?

S + - Is Sequential shifting up/down.
0 is Neutral
E is Economy/Normal/Winter mode
R - Reverse

Update today, had my OEM BMW springs fitted and OMG its like night and day. The car handles again, rides over speedbumps with ease, corners more fluidly and you dont feel like you live in a land of giants when a Fiesta over takes you towering above you.

TBH though from the pics i dont think it looks that much different from the outside??

Anyway heres the update:

Old rusty nasty wheel bolts off:

New shiney BMWcentre caps and new BMW bolts:

Small improvement i know, but its all in the detail.

Ok and only had 5mins to take 2 quick snaps as i had to pop to Asda and have a blat

Used this stuff:

Roof now no longer squeaks as rubber in the seals was old and stiff.

Im skint now.

But plans are to get an iPod cable for my headunit and carry on cleaning it as its still filthy
