The F20 is already a close ratio box so I couldn't see it making a huge amount of difference. Maybe a bit. Probably wouldn't last as long either.

Tbh, there's not much to go wrong As long as they are looked after and you keep an eye on the oil, they will last a while. My EE9 is on 160,000 and still pulls strongly!

What do you mean mate? An EK4 will be more powerful than any of them But the EK4 is a bit heavier at 1150kg. An EG6 has the same B16a2 engine and is lighter! And an EE9/EF9 is a B16a1 and B16a engine in a car that is lighter still

The B16a2 has 160bhp
The B16a1 has 150bhp
and the B16a has 158

Quite clearly a lie, surely? People say "They have more power and less weight" etc etc but the amount of times I've ever seen a 182 or 172 hit that sort of power as standard is nigh on nil

How will a Redtop Corsa feel in comparison to a Nissan Qashqai that does 0-60 in 12.4 seconds?

Hope I'm not going to be disappointed with mine once its done!

Sorry mate, they are the standard engines.

The EK4 and EG6 will have the B16a2 (again, 160bhp)
The EE9/EF9 will have the B16a1/B16a (150bhp, 158bhp)

The world doesn't revolve around 0-60 races though. But I dare say it would be close with a Corsa VXR because they are not a fast car.

Again, life doesn't revolve around standing starts Astra VXR's and the like, including cars like Graham's MPS and my Volvo T5 aren't great off the mark, but the Astra/MPS/T5 would smash an XE from 30 onwards all day long.

If it does not revolve against a standing start why bother at all??
