in the middle of servicing my 1.1 saxo daily runner, just not sure wether to use the engine flush when doing the oil and filter change?

it hasnt been serviced in 2 years, so guessing its had random types of oil used to keep the level of oil up (reason for me buying the engine flush) but just heard iffy things about using it, that it causes damage or doesnt do anything and so forth..

think its worth doing?

thanks

No, if your really bothered about it, do two oil changes within about 500 miles.

If this is the stuff you put in with petrol then I used it on my Corsa, never did it any harm.

its not the reddex stuff mate, its the engine flush that you use when doing an oil and filter change, the reddex that you put in your fuel is to clean the injectors etc

Engine flush removes deposit's that may have built up around vital seals etc over time. You will be hard pushed to find a tuner who reconmends using it.

I worked as a technician for years at vauxhall, and I always flush, weather it be the one you buy or mixture of diesel and hydrolic oil. Its good to keep the engine clean on the inside.
