small update.

as the snow has been so bad not really been able to do much work on the corsa. been down there on wednesday and started getting it ready to go to the body shop to get the bay sprayed. i have taken off the bonnet, scuttle and washer bottle.

the engine is getting a new water pump and cambelt, maybe a new alternator and starter but not sure atm.

could only get off one head light for the mo! is the abs unit hard to take off?

plans for this weekend will be to take off what i can and wash down the bay

pics so far

best part of this was when the washer bottle came out i found the inlet manifold earthing bolt that had been replaced with some shity bolt by the cow boy before

should have it all off by monday

steering rack, lines and pump have also been removed.

been told not to bleed the brakes dry as the pipes may corrode inside out!!! i dont know how to go about the engine bay being painted with the abs system left attached any one els got any ideas or with the body shop do everything for me?

yet a slow and small update , i managed to get hold of a replacement steering wheel from a guy on ebay the good thing was he offered to recondition it for me as it was tired but not half as bad as mine and im very happy with the result!

also on a plus note i finally got all the power steering gubbins out the way and found a local and understanding body shop run by a good friend waiting for a bit now so he can price it up and get the ball rolling!

here it is out of the car, im keeping it all together as its being replaced bit by bit with new parts as these i feel have seen better days.!

as the car stands just need to take off the wings!

as no one got back to me on the x16xe breather pipe i took off the manky old metal pipe and fitted up the roose pipe for insperation to get things going again. going through autovaux but they didnt send the pics through for me to quote what part it is......

im after the part that goes from the block to the pipe from a x16xe or x14xe been told there the same!

off to peas pottage soon i think....
