As title, does anyone have a step by step guide to getting an electric set of clocks to work in a corsa with a mechanical F20 gearbox? I know you need a transducer of some sort off of an 'electronic' gearbox (I think) but what specific one is it, and how do you physically go about it?

Thanks in advance.

You need to buy the specific transducer and get the correct plug, Wire the plug in to your original speedo wiring the plug it in.
I'll go find a pic of the part.

You need the screw on transducer, the plug, the clocks and the blue/red wire and pin from the connector for the clocks.

Then 10 minutes with a soldering iron and some wire.

Borrowed from Dave B

You can find them in early Corsa with C14SE engine or apparently some late Novas had them too.

I think you'll find you can get the plug from some door looms.

Colours will be wrong though and if you are buying a £30 transducer you dont want to cook it

Colours on the door loom?
I didn't say what wires go to what pin just that the plug is the right fit.

From a donor car? I didn't think you needed to change the clocks.

If your car runs electronic clocks then all you need is the plug and sender in picture above.

Excellent, and the cable obviously? I take it my gearbox already has the cog in it?

Cable?
I assume your car is wired for electronic speedo?
If so you fit the adaptor to your F20 then rewire the plug as the Corsa plug is different. You don't need a cable.

Very much appreciated mate.

If it doesn't work I take it it's a case of checking they're plugged in at the back of the clocks then?
