Did you see the Snap Day thread? There's already one stickered up in there. Need to decide what colour I'm having the vinyl though. Darker silver/grey will probably look nicer than white but it needs to be fairly prominant.

I'd say darker silver, make the exterior bits you want to colour the same as the yellow on the WR logo in that snap day thread, wheels either dark silver or that yellow. Reversed WR logo along the top of windscreen, website along the bottom of bonnet inbetween lights, big logo and website along the side on an angle covering part of door window and rear quater. WR logo and website on boot lid

Just been working out the weight savings so far:

Windows - 15kg
Seats - 27kg
Rest of the interior - 20kg
Spare and carrier - 15kg
Radio - 2kg
Wiper motor - 2kg
Engine bay sound deadening - 2kg

83 saved so far.

Next jobs -

Aircon - 10kg
Perhaps a smaller battery - 10kg?

Then it's on to fiberglass panels which I'm not sure about. Probably if I get more hooked

Standard weight is 1038kg
On those figures currently I guess around 955kg

Potentially 935kg by next week That would give me 133bhp/ton which is worryingly close to Ste's 206 and I'll be on better tyres

Yeah finished the passenger seat last night.

Windows are 2mm which is a tiny bit thin as they're fairly bendy. Wouldn't like something that weak on a car which lives outside.

we just cut the pipe any gas that was in there soon left
But there was no real presure on it, if it was preasured im sure it would of made a bang. There are 2 valvs that are used to re new the gas and the just have a push valve in the so its easy to relese the gas

Heater valves, what absolute imbecile decided that it was a good idea to make these out of plastic?

I had a go in Steves one yesterday and its a lot of fun, loves to be rev'd.

Then driving back to mine steam started pissing out the engine bay, saw that the pipe had snapped off the heater unit, tried to bodge it back together with copper pipe but still leaked and had to wait until this morning to put it back together with a new unit from Ford.

There was very little gas in there, I had already poked a screwdriver in the valve to see what happened and it gave a little fizz not even as loud as opening a drink. I would guess it's been leaking and never repaired, the rad is in a bad way and the valve caps weren't tight.
