The glass itself weighs 3kg compared to 500g of plastic.

Took 4kg worth of metal out of the door and the motor itself is another kg.

So 7.5kg per side saved. 15kg in total. Not bad

Something I'll probably do when I replace my electric windows with winders, new door cards etc. 15kg is a fair amount just from doors

Yeah Ste W in the grey and Leighton in the red.

Looks just the same as the glass. In fact while it's new you can't even tell there's a window there from some angles. Very happy indeed with how that has turned out.

I allways had the image of it bending the light differently, like a very old window for example. If you get what I mean. It won't break like glass either I bet, as in, someone could throw a brick at it and it would hold better than glass.

Just mounting the interior door handles, cuts on the inner skin need tidying and the driver side window is still to go in. That'll finish that job.

Next after that is a clutch and the seats. Might get on to the seats later subject to time

Think I'm going to stay with propellors. The ones I bought don't fit. So any standard car pic would do the job.

It looks good on them wheels anyway, better tyres for track and it's a win. Will post up some ideas soon.
