Right Lads,

What's the best way to flush the full coolant system on a X14XE?

There isn't a bottom hose on the radiator, they're a fair way up so there would still be shite in the bottom of the radiator if i whipped the hose off.

Is there a bleed screw somewhere underneath?

Also, what's the best way to flush the water galleries in the block? I want to do the full system, not just the rad.

Cheers
John

Just to update this.

andyc1234: Thanks for your input, the plug is actually on the bottom left of the rad and has a sensor plugged into the top. It's not on the engine side but on the wing side.

I used a pair of mole grips as it not on tight.

I now have a nice 50/50 mix of Antifreeze and coolant.

It takes 4L in total.
