It just depends on what Madrid do. They acted stupidly fast for Benzema so you just never know how fast they will just move for Silva instead of Ribery.

They are trying to hold lfc and bayern to ransom over silva imo, re alonso and ribery. I don't think they want silva.

It's astonishing they currently have 35 players in there squad without buying ribery, alonso ( hopefully not) etc and they've baiscally not sold anyone crazy spanish mofo's need to ship 10+ players out

The only way alonso is leaving us is if they stay away from silva, and give us sneijder and a big pot of there endless cash.

I don't see where the hell they would fit all the players they have signed and all the ones they apparently want so bad.

Keane says two more players could join in the next 48 hours: “I hope, in time, to bring in maybe four or five. We are close with two and there will be hopefully be another two or three over the next two weeks.

“The fun and games will start over the next few weeks when managers get back to their clubs and take stock of what they've got. It's quite difficult these days with the transfer fees that are mentioned, but if you want quality you've got to pay for it.”

QPR defender Damien Delaney and Manchester United left winger Lee Martin are most likely to be the duo closest to signing. A fee of £750,000 - plus another £250,000 if the Blues make the play-offs and another £100,000 when the Irish defender makes 50 appearances - is understood to have been agreed with the Londoners.

Silly thing is Real won't get much for the people they will need to sell as everyone knows they need to sell!

BBC gossip column has El Mundo reporting a Rafa has sanctioned Barca to sign Masch for £17m Can't believe that he would sell for less than yous lot paid, hope so though

Also FYI Mahamadou Diarra has not been given a shirt number for next season, so either Real are plannign on playing Lassana Diarra with Ribery, Benzema et al or they will be lookign for a new CM

Actually what that gossip is is that he has said they can bid for him and that'll be what they bid.

They will not get him for that price when Rafa has already said £50m wont buy him.

Ah fair enough. Still, same as RIbery, should the player come and say he wants to go he'll end up going.

Shame if we lose a lot of talent form the UK, wonder if the new tax laws are putting players off :/

I would say it's a mixture of the tax/cost of living (ballack :lol , the money real have and the fact they have attracted kaka, then ronaldo etc, (alot of players will want to be in the spanish league because of that alone imo). Then there's the weather of course. If we (PL teams) have a strong outing in the CL again and madrid do fuck all it may well swing back towards us next season.

That goes for both Alonso and Masch, Rafa has said if they want out then they have to come out and request a tranfer request.

Im not sure if they will or wont. Alonso worries me more as the shit that went on last year could well be on his mind. All I know is that they both have 3yrs left on their contracts, so if anyone wants them then it wont be for a small fee.

That always makes me wonder, wouldn't the player become slightly less valuable if he's openly looking to leave, even though barry saga last summer was a similar kind of situation in that he said he wanted to join us, we had limited funds where as madrid don't.

It would if he was close to the end of his contract. Difference here is we could keep them another season and still get just as much next summer for them as they'd have 2yrs left.

Ruben De La Red out for the season again with the same heart problem. Huge shame for the guy as he's a very talented midfielder. But lucky he found out when he did(in the Copa Del Rey) or he could of ended up like Puerta.
