Monty was a preface though so I think it's still different enough. Plus monty looks like a psycho now with that massive front mount!

Thanks Dan.

Kinda keep spending even though I shouldn't. Need to draw the line now though
It just makes me smile so easily though! Guess that makes it worth the effort after all.

good stuff mate

question though... if you've removed the a/c why not go all out and get the big box from behind the glovebox out (heavy!!) and then get a screenwash bottle and pollen filter holder from a non a/c, plate the holes up etc...

Thanks

Jed - the ac removal was spontaneous. The condenser should have come out but I couldn't be arsed messing with my dash again. Nor could I be bothered with plating bits and pieces up.
I feel i went for an easier route, albeit half arsed and not 100% weight free.
Also, I know my car is watertight, I didn't want unconsidered holes letting water in.

I'm sure at some point it'll drop out.....maybe when it becomes the next Jr.

the dash doesn't need removed mate, just the glove box and lower shelf...
awkward little screw below the batt tray from the bay side... few other easy access screws and its out

and as for plating it up, i just pot riveted some alloy plates in place with a bit of sealer to stop water then painted over them

Good work as always. Are you going to touch the rear wheels up? They're looking a bit ragged.

Thanks.

Yeah, the G's have become winter wheels now.

I might chuck some pics up of the new wheels if I can find them...The pics that is.

As mentioned, a brief update while im here for the plans re: wheels.

Ive never really known what wheels to have on the Corsa. I used to like the Astra 5 spokes, but they never see the road now and will soon be up for sale.

I have Tigra alloys, but never went anywhere with them, they also will be up for sale soon.

I have the G60's which suit the car, but they have been on a for a fair while now. They have seen something like 3 winters alone! They are looking worn out now though and so will be demoted to winter wheels.

So, the question was what to do...!?

Anyway, again way back when, in some time around the new year (i think? it was that long ago ) I snapped these up and sent Carl on a detour home via Sheffield

Decided these would look smart.
NB: at this point, the plans in the above update were not even on the table

This could work...

Had the tyres removed and stripped the badges off -

Sent the wheels to Derwent Enamellers in March who did a cracking job. For some reason, i decided on having white alloys again. Knowing full well they are a bitch to keep white...hmm -

Ordered these. Cant remember the site, but it was fantastic service, quality centres and had a multitude of variations.

Carbon Fibre

Should look smart enough

Just need to get some rubber ordered for them.

Thats it then, must, stop, spending

Thanks.

Merh, will have to see when theyre on. I did PS them anthracite too but decided against it.

I guess if i was a man, id have just got Comp MO's and been done with it

Also wanted a more 'suited' fit aswell, the G's are bit annoying at times.

What astra 5 spokes do you have? Im after a second set of wheels to run as winters when it comes. Thats if your selling them.
