cleaned both the cars, gave the diesel a coat of polish seeing as the sun was out then took the corsa for a run out. quite missed 5th gear wheelspins in the bone dry. amazing amounts of fun tbh, although not so happy at the price of v-power since i last filled up 6 months ago or whatever it was.

corsa is off for mapping tomorrow, hopefully get some more boost in to it get it back over 500 powers. still got a pedal box and line lock to fit to it. maybe do that next month.

How much more boost are you expecting? If you are fitting line lock and pedal box does it mean you wont be getting rid soon?

there is a possibility i may sell the engine and parts like that but keep the shell as it is and xe it. I've not 100% decided what I'm gonna do now really. might sound a bit daft but I'm really enjoying driving that diesel bmw so i may keep the corsa for longer. I've almost ran out of things i want to do to it though. thats kinda the issue.

hopefully get the boost mapped back up to 1.6 bar or see how far the rollers will let us go with it.

Taking the let out to fit an xe seems pointless to me. Not overly quick and you would just end up comparing it to what it used to be.

that was to keep it for track day type stuff if i was to sell the engine thats in it now i meant although id miss the stupid entertainment of driving it around, and today kinda reminded me why i enjoy the car as its nuts on the open roads. diesel for work and town driving, corsa for kicking the crap out of. i still want an evo, may just wait another year....

Keep it and have fun kicking the shit out of it would be my thinking. Especially now s you have a sensible work car.

thats kinda what I'm thinking. evo plan was being discussed when i was kicking about in a 1.2 corsa c.

really do like driving that 330d. can't believe i had a vectra c diesel on the list of cars above it. having driven both, quite glad i didn't buy the vectra.

I do now. Did a run stopped to check fuelling, cut out with no oil pressure again. Guess I'm going z20let pump this week then. 516 at 6k revs power still going up. Typical really. Just my luck....

utterly ridiculous choice to replace that part with a pattern part in the first place, especially on that application.

if it was a case of not being able to afford it i would have just waited, pattern parts have there place but not that imo

I stated elsewhere that I got the cheap pump to make sure the engine was ok Steve which it was. Please don't spam this thread.
