Was thinking the other day about HD films that are a must have, in my opinion...(talking about things that would look amazing in HD really, not just films that i like)

Matrix,
Transformers,
something like Finding nemo would look amazing i reckon,
LOTR would/will be amazing, but won't be out for another few years apparently,
got 300 already,
Sin City will be good when it's released.
Planet Earth will be something i will have to buy as well

Tempted with Transformers, Hellboy and Independence Day for £34

Hellboys good but I can't see it being much better in HD.

Yeah, that was more of a personal choice

Got it on DVD already though, so probably wait till it drops a bit more in price

I don't see the hype with Blu-ray, but I agree in a way with what you are saying, only got certain films that would be good as a blu-ray.

Transformers would be fantastic I'd have thought.

I'd rather buy a few DVD's for the price of 1 blu-ray though.

Agreed - i dont buy BDs yet cause theyre just too expensive for what they are, dvds are bad enough, £10 and you only watch it one or two times!

That was kinda my thinking as well, for now i'd probably restrict myself to buying what i thought were essentials, and stick with DVDs otherwise. most players upscale to HD now anyway

Pre owned BD's FTW.

Got Xmen 3 for £9, and saw Talladega Nights for £8. Both in GAME.

Unless they are on offer I don't bother.

I have to disagree, the jump from vhs to dvd was far more vast than dvd to blueray

Watch it how its supposed to be watched, i.e. 1080p TV, and the difference is vast. Maybe not from VHS to DVD, but it's still a big leap forward.
