I still don't see the hype with it, I've got 4 Blu-rays and a PS3 player just for those 4 lol

HD rocks. Black is actually blacks and blues and reds are so vivid you could be blinded watching! I love my BD player and i only have a small collection of them but i have matrix, fast and furious tokyo drift both new bonds Rambo4 is immense

just got Ghostbusters too


Independance day will be worth it as my dvd of it has the worst transfer ive ever seen. Looks like vhs.

i remember when i first started watching, thought they were pretty similar to dvd but i ended up watching nothing but hd media for a few days, put a dvd on and thought my telly was broke

Old thread. Was I the only one disappointed with Planet Earth on BD? I have it (and Blue Planet) on DVD and it looks fantastic upscaled. In fact it's not that far off the 720p/1080i European BD release! BBC's "Life" on the other hand should look amazing in full 1080p I just haven't had the chance to check it out yet.

Iron Man is defo a good Blu-ray with the effects in it its brilliant. I might have to watch that yet again now you've mentioned it

With Wall-E the picture is absolutely stunning. It really is.

i have band of brothers on blu ray. it looks nice but i wasn't bowled over tbh. the dullness of it takes away alittle bit IMO

i have black hawk down too which is quite good. i think i may watch that this weekend actually. the dark knight also looks good in it.

LOTR is out in a few months btw.

Ive got Gladiator, Transformers 1 and 2, Iron Man, Matrix Trilogy, Gran Turino (was bought it!), 300, Terminator Salvation, Dark Knight, the latest Bond (or last 2, cant remember), latest Star Trek, Harry Potter Boxset, ermmm....think thats about it.

Agree with what people have said in regards to the more HD content you watch the more you realise the inferiority of standard definition media.
