Ooooh, good plan, he does group buys, so I'll e-mail him.

I'm going to postpone him a while though, probably 3-4 weeks, as I need to get the car MOTd first, which might mean spending a few quid.

If you can find someone who wants one, it's worth about £150, but it's a limited market for them.

If it was for a mk2, you'd be more successful selling it.

Picked this up tonight.

for some reason, it's dark outside (not sure why ) so the pics are shit as it's impossible to take a picture when you can't see what you're taking a picture of







Nice and cheap.

I'll strip it down, replace whatever needs replacing and build it back up for my mk1 (if I don't sell it by then)

Oh well, its in there for £180 anyways, thought I might get a bargain and sell it on, maybe not

It's done 151k Chris, it's not going near the car before a full rebuild

I need to do brakes, suspension and bushes first anyway.

It cost me next to nothing, yeah.

Even if I'd spent £300 on one, I would have stripped it down and put new piston rings and stuff in it, and with this one, I'll probably have new pistons and rods too, so nothing should go wrong.

I'll just be using the block and head really, everything else will be new.

What sort of power are these engines standard? Doing any mods?
