Its not really about what it feels like. You have to take it to bits, and Alan Cookson does that for a living

sorry but what are you on about ? ive said the best gearbox ive drove was one in a zetec S, my mates glanza was good too, you then say yes but if you take them apart blah blah, why would i normal driver care about taking a gearbox apart, they care about the feel and how reliable it is etc.

Quote from SBD as well...

"The results have been achieved using a Corsa GSI, which has larger ports than later heads, if you are running any other cylinder head the results can vary. We have had reports of engines producing 10 to 20 bhp less"

Did Topshot just say that the C20XE is unrealible and shit or do my eyes decieve me?

This is the engine of engines, motorsport companys swear by them, best engine Vauxhall have ever produced.

Topshot, you are a plank.

Its not the most powerful and not the most reliable. just look at how many people on here have problems.

Do you have anything good to say at all? All you do is whine on about Vauxhalls and chat bollocks.

Go and chat your rubbish on a Peugeot forum.

not really, i loved my silver corsa more than any car ive had still, but it doesnt touch the saxo in driveability, i wish it did, cause then i would quite happily sell the saxo and buy another corsa .

20XE's? You kidding Most have done over 100k and most engines of that era are starting to get minor issues. Only mechanical issue i've had with mine was a crank case sensor wire snap........

Porous head was an issue, but one of the very few. We had a calibra also, done 50k in it, never skipped a beat.

1.4 and 1.6 16v engines are more unreliable than a redtop!
