Hi gang,
I spent the last year in america and in my absense my battery decided to die on me. Unfortunately my car has no locks on the outside and no door pins on the inside, so i seem to be faced with the only option of sir brick.
unless anyone out there knows of a way to open the bonnet without being in the car? is there somewhere i can pull the cord other than being inside?
before i left adding somekind of battery back up was on my to do list, shame im a lazy arse.

it should be possible if you can get under the car and get your hand up to the cable

its a right ball ache mate i had to break the front grill, if you stand facing the car cable runs to right of slam panel, if you can get that and pull it releases it and then just open bonnet as normal.

tbh the easiest way is to jack up the front of the car connect the charger to the positive terminal of the starter motor and earth the negative somewhere on the car with a decent connection (earth strap on gearbox if you have one) the battery will still charge in the same way and you will be able to get into the car.

underneath the car......connect a jump pack to the starter solenoid and the chassis....
then you should be able to unlock

Metal coat hanger, wedge somthing between the rubber and the glass on the door to make a small gap to put coat hanger down and have a fiddle.. i'm sure you'll get the jist of it and unlock it!
