it would be a tiny skip I'd think, but as always it'd prob turn into a few tons of turf, soil, rubble etc etc

I'll go look into skip hire now, they do quite wee ones dont they.

HSS is probably your best bet, wouldn't need a massive one.

yellowskips.com (never heard of ) £230 for a tiny skip - on a road.

£170 for on the drive (dont have one )

Seems extortionate :/

Yeah, the other option like you said is lining the range and doing a few trips to the tip. You could get a lot in the back if it was stacked up right

Cheaper than the others then, depends how much you want to pay really, and it would cut out the effort of sticking it in the range and going to the tip a few times

I think i'd prefer to do a couple of runs in a lined rangey than pay 160-200 for a tin can to sit outside the house

Popped a post up in TS asking for a loan of a flatbed or pickup.

Hmmmmmm

I have a mahoosive trialer lob the turf n shit on, tarp over it and strap in down? Think that would work?

Trailer with tarp over should be fine, leave a space in the middle of the turf for all the soil to sit in so it doesn't go everywhere

My local tip is funny about when you take vans and trailers in, can only do it at certain times now, worth checking.

A free trailer is cheaper

Thats the schedule written, home report done and getting written up. Photographer coming tomorrow then its up with the front garden and down with some chuckies when time permits :S

I'll miss the garage - just started to really use it. Been way too busy this summer to get full use of it!

local to where we are but bigger - 3 floors as apposed to the 1 we have just now. Same era - Victorian granite house, around 1905. High ceilings, ornate plaster work etc etc

I'd love to stay in the same street but we simply cant afford to buy a house of the size we're looking at We're talking about 5 mins walk away though.

We really should have bought that one we looked at about 10 doors down. It was huge and went for a great price. We would have needed about 100k aside to sort out all its issues though :/ C'est la vie

The house we have out eye on is 4 bedroom, 3 public, kitchen, shower room, bathroom, and a largeish garage that we'd prob knockdown in time.

There are others I think we should look at but they are either in areas we dont like as much or just dont like the look of the house externally.

We're fussy but dont mind the state of decor for example.

thats all the grass up, and karted off to the tip. Strange one this.... where would you think turf and the soil attached to it would go?

Soil and rubble - no
Green waste - no

They got me to put it in General Waste with the likes of all the rest of the plasticsn shit like matresses Bizzare.

Anyway - home report should be signed off tomorrow once the energy report is completed.

Valuation came back at £325k which is ok but we'll still lose money in the grand scheme of things. Bought for 280 something in 2007. Redid the whole house, heating, windows, building work, kitchen, decking and garage.

2bed flat with aprox 92sqm floor space. (basically a 10m x 10m internal space.
