hi peeps, got a 2.0 corsa in at work which had a nice rod out the front of the block, the owner managed to find another engine for it which was in good running order, he brought it to me and work began from there, before i put the engine in a replaced the water pump and cambelt.
the car is now all built up, i started it up this afternoon and it would'nt rev up properly, but after 4000 rpm seemed ok, it was like this for about 5 minutes but now wont start at all.

since this ive changed the fuel pressure regulator and fuel rail, throttle housing, injectors, air flow meter, distributor, plugs and leads, cap and arm.

fuel / ignition relay, and still no joy

Ive found that it seems to be over fueling massivily, ive checked the timming marks twice just to be over shaw and all is spot on

has any one got any idea's................................
i will be doing a compression test on saturday, but thought i would just ask

thanks.

can you get the fuel lines the wrong way around? I'm sure the fittings are different for the 2 fuel lines.

what oil did you put in it? i assume it was out the barrel at work? 5w 30 or something similar. i made this mistake a few years ago and lost the engine due to excessivly worn crank after forking out copious amounts of money chasing the problem
