But do i need to skim the head? when i am re-fitting it? Plus how much would a garage charge to fix?

my sisters headgasket went on her sport and she had the head skimmed and the whole lot cost her £750. was shocked

yeah fixing carls car today and saying nothing is wrong with mine. should just need to pay for the head skimmed

yeah, need to be skimmed, mine has gone on mine. a mates doing mine for me
hes charging me £250 for everything incuding a new cambelt

daz my mates dad might be able to do it for half the price a garage charges, he's meant to be doing mine but i used that k-seal as a temp sollution and if it happens again i'm getting my mates dad to sort it. i can have a word with him if you like

costing me £500 for everything including labour, head skimmed, new head gasket and fitting.

i'm in the process of buyin a new second hand head so that wen i do come to change the headgasket (which is going to be soon by the looks of things) i can just take the old one off and bolt the new (pre-skimmed etc) 1 on!
