Carrick was a good sell, hes good but he was nothing special. If Tottenham dont make Europe again , Berb will go , if we do then he will stay.

Funny how other teams haveno intrest in players till they come to Spurs play well for a season then we sell them on

I hope Berb stays, Especially after him and Keane winning the April pair award.

No player is but you're better off keeping your best players, selling them to fund others shows a lack of ambition, that is something you can't deny.

he wasnt our best player, good, solid but that doesnt score goals and win things. We dont have billionaire owners like chelsea etc so selling carrick for £13m + profit and buying berb was a good bit of business. The second half of this season i dont think we missed carrick

Mr 'not that special' played a massive part in helping United win their first league title in 4 years.

You're missing the point.

If you had any ambition you'd have both.

Im sure without selling carrick a premiership football club like spurs could afford berbatov

and you would most likely have done better with carrick in the side and berbatov, think of the defensive side of things, carrick helps out the defense and with him in the team, you wouldnt have had such a hard time at West Ham

And no worse without Carrick. He was not worth 18m, we made a profit, and no tottenham fan was disapointed to see him go

You nearly finished 4th with him, and you're just about making the UEFA places without him.

Strange....

He didn't cost £18million either

To be honest, Carrick has been no real lose to you because you don't have the other players to compliment him. Spurs are very much like Newcastle in a way, half a dozen average/good players. This season not being a very good example for Newcastle.
