come to move the car this afternoon, and i tried braking and the pedal was just soft :s

if i pump it up it does get slightly tighter then it just goes loose again,

it does stop the car just but the brake pedal is at the floor.

i thougth it could be the seals in the master cylinder thats gone, but does anyone have anyother ideas?

if you pump the pedal with the ignition off is the pedal solid or still v soft?

Have you checked the fluid level?

Get a m8 to pump the pedal and look underneath the car for leaks at the rear drums, split pipe etc etc

no leaks as i put something down and no drips or anything, topped up the level and with the ignition off it stays soft.

The pedal should get v hard with the ignition off and once the ignition is on the servo will assist making the pedal softer.

pull your rear drums off and check the cylinders arent leaking if you pull the rubber back.

if thats happeneing then fluid is getting past the MC seals or out to atmosphere via a leak.

More than likely just needing bled mate.. Wouldn't go replacing the master cylinder till you've given bleeding them a bash..

clamp off each flexi pipe in turn or in pairs then pump the pedal when it goes hard the fault, should be with what ever comes after the flexi or sometimes the flexi itself
