Failed the emissions again, but only just this time. Have a new cat to go on though.

no wonder you failed, the amount of smoke coming out

only joking, must have been very cold up there.

whats with the air filter? that could be partly the reason your emissions is fucked. put a k&n or pipercross panel filter in the standard airbox.

nice car mhw's and semi smooth boot will be awesome

Finally got hold of a Sebring 6x4 backbox, £39 delivered

Should hopefully have my 1.2 injector tomorrow, plus weld and fit the new cat, MOT tuesday, hopefully a pass

Countdown till I can legally drive it, 5 days, Saturday 8th December

put a std airfilter on also. that will help bring the emmisions down dude!

std airfilter makes a big difference. the engine sees it getting more air so it puts in more fuel but that fuel is just being wasted and goes straight out the exhaust making your emmisions higher

Mmm, so if I couldnt get hold of a aitbox, would say duck taping my air filter up a bit work?

Sounds stupid I know, but every little helps, its bloody close to passing.

wouldnt like to say if that would work. u still got the filter system from the gsi. mayb try bodge that on for the mot. fuel consumption will also go up

Well I discovered what was going on with the emissions, the car was fucked, nothing inside it at all

So I put on a known good cat that a guy at the MOT station gave me, and its going back again tomorrow, 4th time lucky!
