Update

Wont be going for MOT tomorrow as the brake line clips STILL havent arrived, told tuesday now. Sourced a compressor too, so will hopefully waxoil it this week or weekend.

Fitted one GSI skirt, just the other side to do now:





Once I get my C/Ced mirrors, then the drivers side of the car will be finished

Organised a compressor, clips should be here tuesday, so hopefully waxoil it then too, say MOT for thursday

Spray on underbody sealant, good stuff, should protect it from the salt etc on the road for a few years. You can fill the chassis legs and everything with it, hopefully doing it tomorrow.

Dont get all that much time on it, but in good news, its finished.

C/c'ed mirrors are on, other sideskirt is on. All fully waxoyl'd, looks quite mint underneath now.

Just needed to fit my new bonnet release cable, did so, and now the bonnet wont open

Was going for the MOT tomorrow, but since the bonnet is fucked, then thursday it will be

Shall get some decent pics at the weekend, cant get any daytime pics as Im at work all the time

Underbody pics I will get next time its on the ramp, but it looks good in waxoyl

The car is now sitting at the MOT station, MOT is tomorrow afternoon. Wont find out the result till I get home from work, I hope to christ it passes

Failed on emissions, badly.

So, proper retest 1st december, 7 days before my birthday. Have the 1.4 injector in, so its getting replaced my a 1.2 one, all the gaskets in the inlet renewed as theres an air leak. Replacing the lambda sensor too.

Car is still at the MOT station, its got a crack in the sump

It was rusty as fuck with lying in the field, and all the thrashing for the MOT must of made it crack. So, new sump & gasket ordered too.

Proving fucking expensive to get this cunt through the MOT

It might have been cracked already mate, sometimes happens, then when it gets nice and hot the oil thins and shows the cracks up,
