been attempting to tidy the bay up for the coming shows i know its not an amazing engine but i want every aspect of the car to be clean and have a bit of effort put into it, so i spent a few hours today sanding & polishing the rocker cover, dizzy, spark plug cylinders & all the clips that hold the loom/ht leads, i also replaced the bolt with new chrome ones.
previously i've sprayed some hi temp black paint on the manifolds & heatshield as they were very tatty.
Still waiting for my polished strut brace & stainless battery cover to come through the post.. its still a work in progress and is still covered in grime but i'll get all this cleaned & polished up before PVS, I'm also thinking of making myself a stainless steel cover to hide the top of the radiator

Thanks Jay! Luke!
haha how much you paying? nah its not too difficult to do yourself, just need a few hours and some wet & dry sand paper then buff it up with polishing compounds/metal polish

More to come soon

saw that in your project thred Mark looks very tidy now mate.

Update: Engine... spent the last 5 hours de-greasing & cleaning the engine bay, what a ball ache

started off taking the airbox, dizzy, battery etc. out and making sure to cover the vitals with plastic bags. I then set about using autoglym engine & machine cleaner before jet washing the whole thing clean.

as you can see still a bit of a mess.. so a few more hours work & after re-fitting everything with the addition of the strut brace, battery cover, heat shield it now looks a bit like this

Thanks for the positive comments guys
Wooly: haven't really driven it since fitting the strut brace so honestly couldn't tell you, i'm assuming there wouldn't be much difference in the handling tbh

Stu: yes mate i'll be at PVS all weekend so i'll def get some photos of our cars. I am changing the plastics yes but have a few things im trying to get flocked at the mo, if it doesn't go to plan i will be looking at swapping for a full black CDX interior.

Just got back from modified nationals, good show & couldn't fault the weather!

as the corsa was on show with street-legal i thought it would be a good time to try out the Dodo juice bought from Rich H, amazing stuff really pleased with the ease of use & the finish it gives
