Cheers Graham, i think he tried manual mode with a longer shutter speed but they didn't come out too well, a lot more blur & movement on the car.
would look a lot better though like your saying crisp focus on the car but with more motion in the background & road

I never do Manual cause I always fuck it up

Just use the Shutter Speed priority setting, and use 1/100, most of my rolling shots are at that speed and have the full effect of movement. Just something to bare in mind for the future, when I first got my camera I didn't have a clue

1" lips to suit the BBS wheels have been bought & sent off to Dav @ Purklas for mirror polishing .. more progress & pics when i start splitting & re-building the wheels

Jon, ah nice one what car was you in? bit muddy up the pod this weekend was it? saw no end of VW's caked in shite lol i normally go every year but was put off by the weather this weekend.

Weather was utter shite. I got soaked. I saw you going under the bridge in Podington. I was in a a silver corsa D. I stuck my thumb up but just assumed you would think i was some random.

ah yeah cool, i was just taking the car for a spin an see if i could see a few nice vdubs.
I actually remember seeing a new corsa, swear i saw someone put their hand up out of the corner of my eye wasn't sure at first though lol

yep well annoyed with the weather been a shite week for it couldn't handle another day out side in the rain .. and its still raining now!

will be ace to get the 5 doors together again for a few pics

BBS Rebuild:

Yesterday i spent some time getting the wheels ready, first off i had the tyres removed



And the reason for the change .. need to replace the manky bolts & fit wider lips



I set about taking the bolts out using an 8mm multisided socket



Then used a knife to cut the sealant out from between the basket & lip, best way to get them to split was to give it a few taps with the hammer



TaDa!! split rims FTW!



The old half inch lips



And the baskets in need of a wash/wax & clean up





So thats where i left it yesterday, just waiting on the call to pick up the new lips and then i can get cracking on the rebuild

Yeah hopefully they will look a better, aim was to get them near perfect as i wasn't happy with a few marks on the lip & the rusty bolts.
I'll be keeping the colour as i like it an think it works well basically just giving the baskets a good clean up, wax & seal.
