UPDATE: 30th May 2010

An Update at last!!! I'm sorry its taken so long. Basically this update is all about my missus's car that i've now brought into.

Back in Nov 09 she swapped her Mk4 Golf for an Astra Coupe Turbo

The day she swapped it

Over the next 3 months we took the car off the road and started Modifying it (the car was just lowered and had an iniduction kit when she got it).

First up a new exhaust... Courtenay Precat removal pipe, Scorpian de-cat pipe, Scorpian straight through centre section and rear silencer

Next up an Irmcher grill

Some brand new VXR 322mm Front brakes

Whiteline Castor bushes & Shim plates

Standard brakes

VXR Brake comparison

308mm vs 322mm

Rear shim kit reduces Camber & Toe in

Picked up some new rims

And a 2nd hand intercooler which I sprayed satin black (plus painted the calipers)

Some more new bits, Brake cooling ducts, poly bushes & braided brake lines

Burn't old bushed out

And fitted new Poly bush (front) and Whiteline Castor (rear wishbone) bushes

Wishbone fitted

Brake ducts fitted

Sarah takes interior apart

New short shift linkage

Turbo Oil restrictor bolt

New boost hose, painted rocker cover and Whiteline strutbrace fitted

Time for the new intercooler

Old cooler

FMIC

HKS SSQV

Custom Oil catch tank

HID Headlights

Standard Re-circ dump valve with FORGE blanking version

And fitted

Received dash clocks and components back after full LED conversion

Painted centre console in Vaux Star Silver

Yes I still have the Corsa

Whiteline Rear ARB powdercoated Yellow

LED Conversion

And the cars first trip out

On friday the car was photographed by REDLINE magazine to be a feature car soooooon

The car on track at Combe

So far the car has been round Silverstone, Combe and Mallory. It'll also be going to the Ring later this year. Its running a stage 2 EDS IPF Map and made 256bhp & 289lb's ft Torque but we have plenty more upgrades planned for the future so watch this space

Cheers,

Neil

UPDATE: 18th July 2010

I've had a load of jobs to do on the car but have been putting them off till now...

First off we fitted a Thermal Inlet Manifold Gasket (6mm) to reduce heat soak from the head

At the same time we fitted an extension to the oil pressure switch and fitted a pressure sender on the end for a gauge inside the car

We've also been having some boost fluctuation issue's so have fitted a 4wd Cossie Actuator as the standard one was weak and not holding boost.

Next up we made some templates and got hold of a sheet of Carbon Fibre to make covers for the holes where the Spot Lights used to be.

The headlights suffer from going white on the top (no idea why, seems to be a common problem) but nothing some Vaselin doesn't sort

After 6 months of searching we've finally got hold of some Irmscher rear spats for the car... These will be painted next week along with the bumper and the lower section of which will be done gloss black (pics next week)

And this morning we went for a drive with a couple of mates

And finally we retrofitted the Traction Control switch.... so we can swith it off!!!

Notice any difference with the new inlet gasket? Im taking the head of mine soon to do a few jobs, though I might stick one of those gaskets on if they are any good. £50 is a fair bit though.
