both my front wheel bearing need changing, are these expensive from vauxhall and hard to fit at all??
i mean ive uprated and changed my brake disks and calipers my self before with no problems!

so whats a press, isit a tool i could buy my self and use??
or would it be cheaper to get a mechnic to do it/

not really difficult to change but as said you will need a press and possibly some circlip pliers.
take off the caliper and brake disk like you did before,
take out the split pin then take off the hub nut
take out the track rod end from the hub carrier,
remove the two lower suspension mount bolts from the carrier,
remove the lower ball joint bolt and tap the ball joint out from the carrier,
tap the drive shaft out of the hub using a screwdriver and hammer, wont need much.
then you should be left with a hub carrier, bearing and hub.
now you need the press.
press out the hub from the bearing
remove both circlips that hold in the bearing
press out the bearing.
be careful to support the hub carrier properly as i have known them to snap if you press them wrongly.
refit is the reverse of removal.

if you want to do it the cheepest way, take your stearing knuckle off, and just get a machanic to press old baring out, put new one it.
But some places will want nearly as much as doing it yourself.

ive never had to use a press when removing front bearings. I used the outer part of an old bearing ground-down and used that to tap the bearing out and to tap the new one back in.

according to my haynes manual, the press tool can be replaced with a "large bench device and spacers" and "large sockets" which i have 
the haynes manual gives this part a 4/5 difficulty!! 
but it also gives changing front suspension struts and brake caliper 4/5 aswell, but i found these parts easy to change!
you think i would be capable of doing it, and how much do vauxhall charge for new bearings and circlips(or do they come as a package?) roughly
ALSO,
importantly before i go buy new discs and pads aswell, is knackered wheel bearings a sign of juddering/shaking while braking medium-hard, because i get this problem?? also noticed the steering has become heavier since i lowered the car a month ago!
