ok so i currently have a 12" sub in a sealed box, i listen to hardcore dance,
rap and some drum n bass

what will happen to the bass lines in my music if i add a 10" sub to it? so i will have a 10" sub and 12" sub both working to make the same bass lines

i understand that the smaller sub can recoil quicker and produce a more "punchy" sound for the dance tracks.

but what happens when different sub sizes are in the same system?
can they work together or does the SQ fall apart?
does anyone have different size subs in their system?

this may not be accurate, but i believe they would be playing different frequencys at the same time, fucking up the sound

if u had a walled system of 2x15 and 4x8 it would be ok, but one 12 nd one 10 would sound pap my friend

hmmm i was thinking ........

what if i had the 2 different subs and tuned the boxes to play the same frequency? eg 40hz

how would that sound?

i think im waiting for my account to be activated on talkaudio because i can log in but it wont let me make threads.

i am currently running a kenwood sub kfc-w300s (sealed box with perfect internal volume) and a kenwood amp kac-626 (old skool is always cool

)
im happy with how low the bass goes when i listen to rap music
but when playing the fast dance tracks i sometimes feel that the bass just isnt keeping up with the music and is being lazy
this is why i wanted to add a 10" sub to the system, to keep the low notes of the 12 and add the fast notes from the 10.

but everyone so far has toldme it will sound rubbish so i guess i'll not bother
