Is there any freeware software, that can do decent quality CD to MP3 conversions?

It needs to be simple enough for a girl to be able to use it...

Sorry, as it states on the website it didn't always use to be freeware! Didn't realise it had changed!

you can get cdex free from www.download.com, by far the easiest and best program ive used
