When the revs fall to 'idle' i.e. no accln. the tickover dips low, splutters and then recovers to a fairly steady tick over. The final tickover speed is fine once it has recovered - rather lumpy til it does recover.

Any ideas for adjustment?

I'd suggest you clean the Idle control valve out it's possible a bit sticky and isn't abel to react fast enough to sort the idle out.

Idle Control valve or Crankshaft Position sensor...

Take the ICV out - it is the pump type thing attatched to the bottom of the inlet manifold with rubber pipe. Clean it with GT85/WD40/Carb Cleaner. Makesure everything inside it is free of gunk then see if the problem is solve. Aslo clean all of the pipework going to and from it
