might give it a wee clean before it goes back in, depends if i have time

still a little worried bout the timing
top2 line up fine

but when i put the belt on the bottom one always seems to move a little when i tension it
hard to see in pic

just going to go and buy some new spark plugs, oil etc.
need to see if i can get a couplelonger bolts for the EGR as it is now blocked off there isnt much catchin

right got everything fitted now. Just need to get it bolted in.

With regards to the timing will it do any damage to the car if it is slightly out? also if the pulleys are not torqued up either?

just wanting to get it going and run it to the garage to get the timing checked and the pulleys torqued up, bout 10 miles

Having troubles with the wiring trying to get it all routed properly, especially the starter loom.

ive got to say fair play to you mate i'd be shoot scared to try what you've done, but i'd love to have a play with my engine.

as for the timing if its slightly out it will probably just run really bad rather than fcuk your engine up but saying that best to get it checked eh?

more pics in the garage if you need, heres one i made earlier:

as for the timing, it doesnt look too far out, turn over the crank by hand and check theres no contact between valves and pistons (unlikely but worth a check)

as for the tensioners, GET THEM TORQUED UP!!!!

if yer 1 tooth out it shouldnt do any damage... it will just run and sound like a bag of spanners... but i'd get it right rather than leave it out...

put the belt on the bottom pully first and the inlet cam last...
