when i start the car the oil light doesnt always come on,
but after about 10 mins the light will come on but only very faint,and only when i slow down,if i speed up it goes off again,
and 2mins after that the light comes on fully
Can anyone help?
im to skint to be taking it into a garage this close to xmas and with my vectra misfiring like a tw@

Have you checked the Oil Level?

yeah its fine
had a look underneath and theres a little spot of oil on the floor,hasnt moved in 2 days and the spot is about the same size of a 10p

was your car parked on a flat surface when u checked you oil level or was it on the road outside ya house

if it was on the road then get to a flat area an check again

it was parked in my garage which is totally flat,
read through everything i could find on here and could either be a faulty sensor or the engine is fooked,

i had this problem too, took the bulb out, and the problem has sorted itself out i think.
